New Yorker have made themselves heard loud and clear. This week news emerged they the upcoming congestion pricing had a sneaky fine print.

Bazaar America reports that the plan would’ve increased the cost on gridlock days, people can expect the pricing to surge to $11.25.
The move has since been rescinded by Hochul after intense backlash. Initially congestion pricing was set to come in at a hefty $15 for those entering Manhattan’s busy business district.
Regular congestion pricing is still set to happen. Congestion pricing is set to kick in 5 January.
