Police are investigating tonight following a truly shocking crime that unfolded this morning. According to police sources, a woman was burned alive on an F train in Coney Island.

The Lowdown

Police shortly after 0730 this morning responded to an emergency call at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue stop. Police say the woman was found burned alive on an idling F train after a male assailant is understood to have thrown a lit match on her.

The shocking crime was captured on video. He has since been arrested.

According to sources, he was detained this afternoon after a passerby noticed him on the subway near 34th St in Manhattan
