Internet fraudster Alex Jones latest efforts to get out of the massive judgement against him over his lies about the Sandy Hook shooting have failed.

The Lowdown

Over the weekend more bad news came down the pipeline for disgraced internet fraudster Alex Jones. According to a ruling by the state’s appellate court, Jones is still on the hook for the massive $965mj judgement he was found liable for by a jury of his peers. Jones infamously and in the most heartbreaking of fashions claimed online for years that the Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax, when in fact, it is one of the deadliest massacres in the United States in modern times.

The Guardian reports that in the court’s unanimous decision it was found that ‘sufficient’ evidence existed to warrant the judgement on the basis of Jones lies; harassment, and other claims. Elsewhere in the same ruling, the court granted Jones a $150m judgement deduction. That came after it was found that prosecutors didn’t put forth a viable enough argument for a case under the state’s Unfair Trade Practices Act.
