Donald Trump may soon find that going after his political enemies may be impossible. According to reports, President Biden is ‘exploring’ preemptive pardons for a host of people who Trump publicly considers an enemy.
The Lowdown
According to The New York Times, Biden may not be done with his pardoning just yet. The Times reports that those inside of the White House are exploring further pardons out of fear that Trump and his allies will wrongfully target those they don’t like. Some of those figures are: Dr. Anthony Fauci, Special Counsel Jack Smith, frmr GOP rep Liz Cheney, and retired General Mark Milley (who Trump notably once accused of treason.)
On Cheney ‘s part, remarks from Trump supporters and his allies have called for guns to be trained on her face. On Fauci ‘s part, Fauci helped guide the United States through one of the deadliest disease outbreaks it has ever seen (but in the face of misinformation became public enemy number one) and lastly Rep Adam Schiff of California.
Reports stress that these pardons are being considered because Donald Trump has made it clear he will seek revenge against those he doesn’t like; have ‘crossed him’ or may fall out of line.
