First having mysteriously emerged in Cuba years ago, a declassified government report now attempts to answer the question that has been asked since 2016.
The Lowdown
A newly declassified government report on the investigation into the origins of the Havana Syndrome has been released. According to the report, it is ‘increasingly’ believed that a foreign adversary may in part be responsible for at least some of the 1,500+ reported attacks that have taken place across the globe. First reported in 2016, the unusual illness results in dizziness; trouble walking, and vomiting but in the cases of this syndrome there were no clear causes of the cases.
Released by the House Intelligence Committee it is the latest examination into the mysterious illness that is understood to have probably been a hit on government operatives and spies around the world. Some experts believe that many of the cases were brought on after people were exposed to radiation, chemical agents, and electromagnetic energy and in others almost entirely psychological in nature.
Further investigations into the syndrome and its origins are expected into the next year.
