Chinese police are investigating this weekend after a fatal knife spree left 8 dead and 17 more injured at the hands of a disgruntled student.

According to the AP, police in the eastern Chinese city of Wuxi are investigating after a rogue and disgruntled student attacked innocent people. Police told the outlet that the 21-year-old former student had failed his examinations and therefore wasn’t going to graduate. The heartbreaking attacks occurred at the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in Yixing.
