Fascinating discovery could help lead to the elimination of mosquito borne viruses

According to a new study,  researchers and scientists have stumbled upon a fascinating new discovery.

The Lowdown

In a press release, researchers have revealed a new study conducted to determine what happens when male mosquitoes particularly of the       species become deaf.  In the study,  it was discovered that lowering their ability to hear may be the first of many steps to eliminating commonly known mosquito borne viruses including yellow fever, Zika, and related.

That is because per the study the  Aedes aegypti species of mosquito (male) cannot mate if deaf.
