Allegations of voter intimidation, vote buying plague election in Georgia amid reports of Russian interference

According to authorities in Georgia, Russia appears to be back up to its election tricks amid claims of widespread voter intimidation and literal vote buying.

The Lowdown

According to the AP, Georgian officials are calling foul following elections in the country because of claims involving Russian interference. Election observers throughout Georgia during the election reportedly discovered numerous accounts of interference. Those instances of interferences include: vote buying, physical violence, intimidation, and outright disinformation.

It comes after the Central Election Commssion claimed that the ruling Georgian Dream party won 54.8% of the vote of which is now being disputed.
