Gateway Pundit which positioned itself among some of the biggest pushers of the election conspiracy theory has settled in infamous defamation case in Atlanta.

The Lowdown

According to reports, Gateway Pundit was originally accused of defamation by Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Shaye Moss. Freeman and her daughter are two election workers based in Georgia who have been repeatedly and viciously defamed by the far-right.

Terms of the settlement aren’t publicly known at this time. The news was first revealed after a statement by the site appeared online admitting there was no fraud found in the 2020 U.S election in Georgia — despite the site having continuously pushed numerous falsehoods.

Following the statement, it appears mentions of Freeman and her daughter have been entirely removed from the site.
