A newly filed court document has revealed frantic tidbits from inside Trump ‘s orbit that sought to overthrow the 2020 election. According to those documents, Trump ‘did not care’ whether or not he lost.
The Lowdown
Things aren’t looking so hot for Donald Trump. Accoreding to a new filing by Special Counsel Jack Smith, a host of new details in the case have been revealed. Wednesday’s filing argues that Donald Trump does not have immunity in this case, an argument that had to be made following the Supreme Court ‘s previous ruling that granted broad but limited immunity to former Presidents.

In one new detail, Smith’s team revealed an allegation that involved a reported WH staffer. In that instance, Trump was allegedly overheard telling family members that it did not matter if he won or not — they needed to fight like hell.
Trump on his part has been charged with conspiracy to obstruct the congressional certification of the election, defraud the US out of accurate results and interfere with Americans’ voting rights. He has and has maintained his innocence throughout the case despite mounting evidence to the contrary.
Mike Pence
Elsewhere in the document, prosecutors revealed one instance with Pence that has long set off alarm bells among critics. During the J6 insurrection on the Capitol, Pence was notably in danger after those who stormed the Capitol had threatened to hang him. Trump ‘s response according to the filing reads as ‘Who cares.’
