Edward Caban ‘s ongoing corruption investigation appears to be widening. According to The Post, police sources revealed over the weekend that top brass has been ordered to preserve evidence.

The Lowdown

A new development in the case against Edward Caban and his twin brother James Caban. The Post reports that police officials have been asked to preserve evidence in the case as it continues to progress.

Over the weekend, however, the case took several new turns. As it turns out, James Caban allegedly used his position and connection to his brother to create what amounted to a ‘ghost company’ that was actually an influence-peddling operation. The Post claims that James would often tell clients or potential clients that if they had issues they could call ‘his brother’ and even precinct commanders.

As reported by Bazaar America yesterday, the IRS has joined the investigation into James Caban and company to determine whether or not tax laws were broken.
