Venezuela has issued an arrest warrant for opposition Presidential candidate Edmundo González

Troubling developments in Venezuela this morning. According to reports, Venezuela ‘s prosecutors office announced the warrant claiming he has associated with terrorism.

The Lowdown

According to reports, Gonzalez ‘failed’ to appear for a summons issued against him after he published the results of the now contested election online.

Gonzalez is wanted on  alleged associations with terrorism but also “usurpation of functions, forging a public document, instigation to disobedience of the laws (and) association to commit a crime and conspiracy.”

Maduro’s claim that he won the election has not been proven. Several countries aren’t recognizing his win until proof that he won is published.
