A sprawling indictment in New York has unveiled a duo of apparent Chinese spies that were working right underneath Governor Kathy Hochul ‘s eyes. The indictment unsealed this week identifies Linda and Chris Sun.
The Lowdown
Linda Sun a former top deputy chief of staff to Gov Hochul has been charged with violate the Foreign Agents Registrations Act, visa fraud, alien smuggling and money laundering conspiracy. On Chris ‘s part he was charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering among a host of other hefty charges.
Prosecutors allege in the unsealed indictment that Sun ‘used her position of influnece’ to help push and peddle the agendas of the People’s Republic of China and that of its ruling communist party. Sun along with her husband Chris is due in court this afternoon.
