There’s a flight layover and then there’s a layover in space on an entirely different space rock. According to reports, the two astronauts who have been stuck in Space well beyond their exit date may not get to exit for the foreseeable future.

According to reports, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams  may not get to return to earth until early next year. CNN reports that the duo may have to return to Earth on a SpaceX spacecraft rather than their original ride due to ongoing issues with the first-ever crewed flight of Boeing ‘s Starliner.

Both have been stuck up there at least seven weeks longer than intended. Boeing per CNN has acknowledged that they may not be able to return to Earth until next year due to the ongoing issues with the Starliner aircraft. But then it does get worse.

The next flight out of Space and back to Earth is scheduled for January and is offered by SpaceX.
