Brown University has reached an agreement with student protesters to disband tent encampments, will hold formal vote to divest from companies with ties to Israel

According to reports, student encampments involved in the protests are set to be disbanded. The University has announced an agreement has been reached and it will also seek to hold a formal vote on one of the biggest demands being made.

The Lowdown

CNN reports that student groups are celebrating the move calling it a big win. At other campuses around the country, some campuses are fighting calls to divest even as controversy and the death toll in Gaza continues to climb. Encampments are set to exit school property by 5pm tonight.
