Ex-NRA members, Wayne LaPierre ordered to pay $4m back to gun group as case comes to a close

Wayne LaPierre and the former NRA executives accused of living large on the group’s dime have learned their fate. According to a ruling on Friday, LaPierre and the executives were found to have indeed used the company piggy bank as their own personal credit card.

The Lowdown

A ruling is out in the case against Wayne LaPierre and several other former NRA executives. The ruling indeed found the group liable for $4m following claims that they all used company funds for their own luxury purchases.

LaPierre maintained his innocence throughout the six week trial, however, the Manhattan jury was not sold. The verdict came back after five-days of deliberations in the widely watched case.
