The ongoing controversy surrounding Russell Simmons continues. According to reports, Simmons has been accused of rape dating back to the 1990s at the height of his power.

According to court documents, the woman who is only being identified as Jane Doe claims that Simmons sexually assaulted her inside his New York City apartment. In part of the complaint, she alleges that she had traveled to the apartment at the time to obtain consent for a new music video as she was working as a senior executive for Def Jam at the time.
