U.S retailer Wal-Mart announces its hourly employees are getting a raise

Mass retailer Wal-Mart has announced that hourly employees in the United States are getting a raise from a base of $12 to $14. The retailer expects that the raise brings their average hourly salary to about $17.50/hour.
