Justice Samuel Alito is now facing allegations made under oath that he wrongfully leaked the 2014 Hobby Lobby decision to a stealth religious figure intentionally. Rev. Rob Schenck, former head of the action group Faith & Action, testified before the Judiciary Committee that Alito indeed told a stealth missionary before anyone else. The initial allegation made weeks ago has sent shockwaves across America amid concern that a sitting Justice is in fact compromised.

The hearing followed reports by Politico and The New York Times about Schenck’s efforts.

“[Our missionaries] might host justices or their spouses for meals at restaurants, private clubs, or their homes — and sometimes the justices reciprocated,” Schenck said. “The Hobby Lobby leak happened at one of these arrangements.”
