CLAIM: According to information reviewed by Bazaar Daily, friends claimed to Robinson’s family upon returning to America that the young woman died after consuming too much alcohol while partying.

What we know: A death certificate has revealed that they lied. A death certificate for Shanquella Robinson confirmed that she was beaten and suffered severe injuries to her neck and spinal cord. The revelations from the certificate have set off a flurry of concern among social media users and her family with many demanding answers. Video footage reviewed by Bazaar Daily confirmed that a violent fight took place inside the reported villa where the group had stayed though we are refusing to show that here.

This is being investigated as femicide (which means that Robinson was attacked over being a female according to officials in Baja California and the FBI who are both investigating the case.)

“They said she wasn’t feeling well. She had alcohol poisoning,” Shanquella’s mother, Salamondra Robinson, told Queen City News in Charlotte. “They couldn’t get a pulse. Each one of the people that was there with her was telling different stories.”
