America’s long-awaited suicide crisis hotline is coming. Formally 988 the hotline is set to launch on 16 July and is expected to be a massive gamechanger for a country deeply struggling with its own mental health. Calls will be offered confidentially as they will also be in various languages. The easy-to-remember number will be available alongside already existing crisis hotline numbers.
