Donald Trump has been dealt yet another major blow to his dictator-style legal cases that he hopes will shield he and his family from likely criminal charges. According to the Supreme Court, SCOTUS has declined to hear his latest case in hopes that the National Archives could be barred from turning over further records to the 6th of January committee. That committee is investigating the right-wing led attempts to overthrow the United States government.

Trump has sought to keep some or all of the records top-secret because officials believe they contain information that would otherwise prove many of the claims against Trump. Those claims largely surround the idea that Trump allegedly helped mastermind the January 6th attacks — a claim that he and his family viciously deny.

There was no definitive answer as to why the court chose not to hear the case but that now means a lower court ruling allowing those docs to be released will stand. View the full SCOTUS notice by clicking here.
