Prince Andrew has reached a financial settlement with his sexual assault accuser

New developments in the case against disgraced Prince Andrew. According to the New York Times (paywall notice) Andrew has reached a tentative financial settlement deal with Virgina Giuffre in regards to her sexual assault allegations against him which date back decades. A filing in court in New York revealed the news this week, but did not fully disclose the total financial sum of the settlement.

Reports also indicate that the disgraced Prince  “intends to make a substantial donation to Ms. Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights,” says a court document, per People. “Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms. Giuffre’s character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks.”
