A suicide pod is a new device in Switzerland where one so long as they are of age; consenting, and understand what they’re doing can legally end their life. First designed a few years ago, the odd-looking pod is designed to allow people to die by dangerous oxygen levels being presented once they’re inside of the pod.

Officially called “The Sarco” the device recently obtained legal clearance to be able to operate in the country. Prior to the device, the country had already legalised assisted suicide with the use of ingestible sodium pentobarbital being the method currently used.
