Big news for airline workers. According to Jetblue and Alaska Airlines, both airlines are now joining the chorus of other airlines that are requiring vaccinations to be able to work. According to the Associated Press, that can be chalked up to heavy discussions between the White House and the airlines some of which are considered government contractors. The news does come amid a wider push for the vaccination and an even wider push for the controversial booster shots that have not yet been fully authorized.

The AP also notes that vax mandates are actually required for government contractors no later than 8 December. It is unclear when the new mandate between the two will fully take effect but it is understood that people will not be able to opt out by wearing a mask or simply testing.
