Following a bombshell report series by the Wall Street Journal, Instagram has announced that its apparent kid version of its controversial photo-based social networking site has been paused. According to a blog post, the company has ceded to the intense backlash that came after the announcement because nobody was quite sure why someone under 13 needed IG to begin with.
IG maintains that the project will eventually surface but it is unclear when. Regardless of such many still can’t figure out why it is necessary for someone so young to have an Instagram to begin with.
