Americanrapper Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty cannot escape his dark past. Acccording to legal documents shared online this weekend, Petty has plead guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California. Both the charge and the admission means that Petty is likely going back to jail.
Reports indicate that initially Petty had plead not guilty but later had a change of heart in August after speaking with the district attorney overseeing the case.
The case relates to a 1995-1996 case against Petty which he was charged and convicted of the rape of a 16-year-old teenage girl. He spent four years behind bars for the crime and has been struggling legally ever since.
