Right-wing cattle Candace Owens is back in the headlines once again. This week the American host known for saying almost anything she can think of (outlandish or not) claimed that Juneteenth is lame “and is a form of segregation.” Owens — who is Black — would not be here today let alone in the position she is in had slavery never ended.
It all started with this tweet.
What Candace is failing to remember is that Juneteenth made the fourth of July a holiday meant for her. Without the proclamation that led the end of slavery in the United States, generations of Candace ‘s family including up to herself today would have never succeeded in life.
