U.S to send $310m band aid to Central America but no word on whether or not they’ll address the crisis they help fuel

Vice President Kamala Harris has somewhat addressed the Central American migrant crisis. According to Symone Sanders (her top press officer), a $310m band aid is headed to Central America to address food insecurity and the humanitarian crisis that is threatening to further escalate at breakneck speed.

“In light of the dire situation and acute suffering faced by millions of people in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, Vice President Harris announced an additional $310 million in U.S. government support for humanitarian relief and to address food insecurity,” a portion of Sanders’ statement read.
