According to a shocking report in Politico, U.S officials including the Department of Homeland Security are reportedly toying with the idea of monitoring the movements of know extremists. Sources reportedly told the American political magazine that after two shootings in less than a week, officials are looking for a quicker way to monitor those who are known to be violent.

In an effort to stop them.

Politico also notes that the move is a wider net move on behalf of Joe Biden who wants to case such extremism as a national security threat rather than just a law enforcement problem. Of course the news comes after multiple mass shootings in the span of a week, spanning Georgia to Colorado on two different parts of the United States.

Further discussions are seeking to authorize law enforcement to monitor flight bookings; check luggages at airports, and even potentially put the would-be terrorists on no fly lists in the U.S. It is unclear if this is actually going to occur due to the idea likely headed to be challenged in court.
