Controversial task force member and healthcare official Deborah Birx is out of a job. According to reports, Birx confirmed her resignation this week following intensified backlash after it was found she violated her own recommendations. Over the holidays, as it turns out, Birx traveled to a vacation home whilst telling the rest of America to stay put. Many took the notion as Birx being outed as a hypocrite.
 “I will be helpful in any role that people think I can be helpful in,” Birx told Newsy, “and then I will retire.” The comments weren’t taken well considering Birx didn’t really own up to her own actions.
