Even worse news for New Yorkers who were hoping to get out in the summer and celebrate some of New York ‘s biggest celebrations. On Monday, Mayor De Blasio ‘s office confirmed that *all parades* and other city-permitted events have all been cancelled through June.
“This will probably not surprise you,” de Blasio said as he made the announcement. “It’s not a happy announcement, but its one we have to make.”
But the fact of the matter is, it may be several months if not more than a year before New York is actually permitted to host events again. With people refusing to wear masks; still going to parties, and everything in between this city isn’t built to have people who don’t understand a pandemic.
