Facebook to begin warning users they have found may have encountered fake Coronavirus claims

Facebook is finally amping up its efforts to compel users to stop sharing fake Coronavirus claims on its social media network. According to the social media site, users who have encountered proven fake claims about the virus — will now actually be notified by a message in the notification centre of their user panels.

According to the AP, the site will roll these features out in a matter of weeks and will direct users to a World Health Organisation site that promptly debunks some of those myths.
