There might be even more good news on the way for many New Yorkers. According to Gothamist, a group of New York lawmakers are setting forth legislation packages that would prevent all evictions through the month of December.
The group of lawmakers hopes to extend Cuomo ‘s eviction-ban that is already in place. That particular ban goes through June as many New Yorkers are still out of work and not caught up on their rent.
The legislations won’t stop rent from being owned; nor being sued by landlords, but they wouldn’t be able to evict renters.
