Although they’re posed as meant to be funny — turns out the warning that came with them is actually very real. This week, the World Health Organisation issued a warning reminding people that the virus can actually live on your money and that people should be wary of using cash that they may not know where it came from.
In their warning, WHO, mentioned the following pieces of information.
‘We know that money changes hands frequently and can pick up all sorts of bacteria and viruses and things like that.
‘We would advise people to wash their hands after handling banknotes, and avoid touching their face.
