Without further a do, this evening has brought the news that was at least partially expected. According to reports, Buttieg has suspended his presidential campaign just days after Joe Biden’s shock win in South Carolina.
The news comes just days ahead of Super Tuesday when it’ll pretty much be down to the final two as to whom will duke it out for the Democratic nomination.
Buttieg’s biggest failure perhaps was his largely unheard of inability to garner support from Black voters — a dominant force within the Democratic Party.
