65 years after the unjust racially charged killing of Emmett Till — America has finally put a federal law on the books that forbodes the act of lynching. According to reports, the government passed the unanimous bill on Wednesday with all but FOUR votes otherwise.
For those that maybe a little young for remembering such an event — let us bring you back. Emmett Till lynched and tortured when he was 14 for allegedly whistling at a white woman in a Mississippi grocery store.
