MSNBC: Sander’s win in Nevada was like when the Nazis invaded France in 1940

This weekend brought the best of the best of the possible dumbass comments to the masses. MSNBC ‘s Chris Matthews wins the weekend award for unbelievable comment of the week after he openly compared Sander’s win in Nevada to the 1940 Nazi invasion of France.

The comment(s) were as they read below:

“I was reading last night about the fall of France in the summer of 1940,” said Matthews, “And the general, Reynaud, calls up Churchill and says, ‘It’s over.’ And Churchill says, ‘How can that be? You’ve got the greatest army in Europe. How can it be over?’ He said, ‘It’s over.'”

“So I had that suppressed feeling,” said Matthews.

It’s worth noting that members of Sander’s own family were killed by the Nazis.
