This time by a special prosecutor. According to reports published Wednesday, Smollett has been indicted by a SP in connection to his fraudulent claim that he was attacked in a hate crime that later turned out to be staged.
The Daily News has learned like others that Smollett has been hit with 6 new charges (mostly of the disorderly conduct type) in relation to his hoax. The special prosecutor Dan Webb was appointed following reports that the previous prosecutor Kim Foxx may have been a little corrupt.
He is reportedly due in court on 24 February.
