An update to our transparency policy

Beginning 1 January 2020 — I have now made it a rule that when we are approached for access to customer data or advertising related data that we disclose it to the public.

In 2019, we received 4 requests from advertisers to see what our audience looks like which we rejected. the advertisements on our site now are not the kind that advertisers can use to track you extensively like others do.

I’ve kept advertising to a basic minimum as you can see to prevent this newspaper from becoming a portal for advertisers. Our viewership is in record numbers and I want to continue to remain transparent and open with everybody.

We do still offer the donation section for those that want to pay for an ad free experience otherwise the paper is free with basic advertisements.
