Jeffrey Epstein has apparently convinced himself that even behind bars on state charges — he still reserves the right to surrender in luxury. According to even more court documents filed Thursday, Epstein ‘s legal team has “claimed in documents that Epstein is willing to post his own bail; use his mansion as collateral, and will surrender his massive private jet”.
But prosecutors are doing their best to fend off such claims. In filings on Tuesday, prosecutors argued that because of a (“violent history by Epstein and harassing victims, coupled with the fact he tried to drive a victims father off of the road”) make him a serious flight risk.
Furthermore, Epstein’s legal team has a pretty weird way of going about his defence. In their response filings, they claimed that “the charges against our client are actually skin to consumer purchaser behaviour”.
