CHICAGO — Chicago police now say that after interviewing the two Nigerian men sought for questioning in the case, they’ve now turned their attention to Smollett himself. According to the police department, testimony provided by the two men merits an investigation into whether or not Smollett “paid the two men” to assault him.
Something that many have already claimed, but, many more have struggled to possibly accept. The news comes just days after the two Nigerian men, and, comes as Smollett continues to claim that the attack was real.
Allegedly, the two Nigerian men told police that they were paid to stage the attack.
Reps for Smollett did respond for comment, citing, that any claims of staging the attack are “collectively false” and people are “lying”.
