An “exotic” looking collection, that, just happens to actually resemble Blackface. Prada, over the weekend, released its new collection — to the apparent gleaming anger of one civil rights attorney.
(We’re also pretty sure that this is the biggest reach we’ve seen in a while, but, who are we to judge..).
On Friday, civil rights attorney Chinyere Ezie, claimed that she was “shaking with anger” at the sight of an unusually intriguing bag-doll that appeared in Prada’s NYC windows. The bag features a design that indeed does resemble that of “Blackface” although in the end, uh, we’re pretty sure that people were just being damn sensitive again.
Ezie claimed that Prada “offended the likes of black people” with the design, and, complained that it to resembled that of a black woman — so much so — that Prada should have never made it to begin with.
