Here are the 2019 Songwriters Hall of Fame nominees

The 2019 nominations for the Songwriters Hall of Fame are here, and, they include just about everybody we’d probably expect. Billboard confirmed that Mariah Carey;   Missy Elliot lead the nominations along with a few other honorable names (Elliot is set to make history, we might note).

The full list includes: Mariah Carey, Chrissie Hynde, Vince Gill, Mike Love, Jimmy Cliff, Jeff Lynne, Cat Stevens, John Prine, Lloyd Price, Tommy James and The Eurythmics (Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart.

Non-performing nominees: Jack Tempchin, Dean Dillon, Jerry Fuller, Tom T. Hall, Roger Nichols and Dallas Austin, who wrote hits for TLC, Madonna, Monica, Pink and Boyz II Men.

Non-performing (writing) duos include: writers Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, Dean Pitchford and Michael Gore, Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham, Bobby Hart and the late Tommy Boyce.

The ceremony is set to take place in NYC next summer.
