But that’s because his Make It Right Foundation, uh, apparently didn’t make it right. According to court documents obtained by multiple outlets, Pitt’s Make it Right Foundation is being sued because their homes in 9th Ward New Orleans are reportedly falling apart.

Documents show that lawyers for multiple plaintiffs allege that the homes built after Hurricane Katrina “have been falling apart for years” despite public claims otherwise by the foundation (and Pitt himself). The homes that they’re referencing are in fact in the 9th Ward, where, Katrina actually struck the hardest. Residents claim that many of the homes are experiencing water damage; rotten wood, failing electrical wiring, and several other issues. Pitt, has not addressed them per additional documentation.

While the citizens of the 9th Ward are grateful to Brad Pitt, they were forced to file this lawsuit because the Make It Right Foundation built substandard homes that are deteriorating at a rapid pace while the homeowners are stuck with mortgages on properties that have diminished values,” says attorney Ron Austin. “We have filed to make Make It Right make it right.”
