Mom who inspired Sarah McLachlan, dead at 34

UTAH —  A Utah woman perhaps best known for inspiring some big-names in music, was sadly taken away from the world today. Kathy Taylor, 34, died today after a long battle with an aggressive form of melanoma in which she was diagnosed with about four months.

Taylor, famously inspired a number of music acts including Sarah McLachlan.  She, had previously given birth to a son, Luke in September. Weighing in at barely 2 lbs, he died days after his birth.

Taylor, is survived by her six children.
