Minus a few rare exceptions. According to a memorandum issued today, transgender troops are no longer able to serve in the military outright (unless they were already there). Meanwhile, troops with severe issues or the presence of gender issues will be barred from serving, unless, they present themselves as their birth gender.
According also to the memo, troops, are lawfully required to present themselves as their original gender when visiting military recruitment stations. Although, Trump, did give the Department of Defense their own partial discretion in determining how to deal with transgender enlistments.
The pentagon had began allowing transgender enlistments again in January.
