While renewals are being taken once again, new applicants, are not. Under a federal court order, the Trump Administration has now been forced to renew DACA recipients applications or else.
Immigration and Customs announced Sunday that renewals will kick-off once again, although, new applicants will not. The move directly comes after a federal judge ruled that the administrations attempt to halt the DACA program entirely, is, in the wrong and will be temporarily blocked.
The DACA program protects about 800,000 people (most college aged adults now) from being deported from the only country they’ve known their entire lives.
