Korean Pop Music was rattled this week after it was revealed that Jonghyun (full name Kim Jong-hyun) killed himself inside of a posh South Korean residential hotel.  Initially, several reports painted a confusing picture about the youngster’s suicide, but now,  police sources have revealed even more.
According to police sources, and new reports,  the singer (believed to have been somewhere in his 20’s)  killed himself in his hotel room by means of burning coal.  Before burning coal in a frying pan, he, (per police) had reportedly sent numerous text messages to his sister — who later phoned police concerned that he was going to kill himself.
Police sources say that upon arrival at the hotel, they found the singer unconscious [still fully dressed, with his phone nearby] but unconscious.   The BBC notes that he died about an hour after arrival at a local hospital.
