Just days before he is set to be inaugurated as the new President of France, Emmanuel Macron, apparently is “prepared to use force in retaliation against Russia for the cyber attacks”. Those cyber attack, uh, being the ones (heavily covered in this newspaper) that nearly crippled his presidential hopes.
According to Politico, a Macron aide reportedly told the American magazine that he “has intentions of striking back over the hacking of an e-mail account belonging to the campaign”.
This means we are ready to retaliate against cyberattacks – not only in kind but also with any other conventional measure or security tool,” he told Politico.
